To create a student account and begin the online application for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship for the 2007-2008 selection year, please click below. The deadline for the submission of the student online application is Friday, October 5, 2007 (January 21, 2008 deadline for students who were nominated for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship by the UNC-Chapel Hill Admissions Office).

In the event that a student does not have Internet access or cannot obtain a personal e-mail address, and, therefore, cannot complete the application online, a non-fillable form can be downloaded and printed for submission by U.S. Mail by October 5, 2007 (January 21, 2008 for UNC-Chapel Hill Admissions Nominees). This is not the preferred method, and the processing of the application may be delayed. The student must use a typewriter to complete this offline form below.

School Report:

A student's counselor will complete the School Report Form. After the student enters his/her counselor's information the School Report will be automatically e-mailed to the counselor from ApplyYourself and must be completed by Friday, October 5, 2007 (January 21, 2008 for UNC-Chapel Hill Admissions Nominees).

We will ONLY accept School Reports that are submitted online through ApplyYourself.

Transcript:

The postmark deadline for a student's transcript is Friday, October 5, 2007 (January 21, 2008 for UNC-Chapel Hill Admissions Nominees).

School Recommendation:

A student may choose any school official (i.e. counselor, teacher, administrator, etc.) to write a letter of recommendation and complete the School Recommendation Form. It is the students' responsibility to hand their chosen school official a document they have downloaded with information on how to submit the letter of recommendation online. The student can find this document with instructions on how to submit a recommendation online under the Downloadable Forms link within the online student application.

We will ONLY accept letters of recommendation that are submitted online.
